Gynaecology

Gynaecological problems including but not limited to endometriosis, adenomyosis, fibroids & ovarian cysts.

Pain Management

Persistent pelvic pain is a common clinical problem, affecting about 25 % of Australian adult women.

Vulvovaginal Disorders

Dr. Saha has a particular interest in caring for women with vulvo-vaginal pain syndrome and vulval dermatoses.

Asherman Syndrome

This is a condition where bands or thin strings of scar tissue (intrauterine adhesions) form inside the uterus.

Laparoscopy

Laparoscopy, commonly called "keyhole surgery", is a minimally invasive procedure in which a surgical telescope attached to a video camera is passed through a small cut (keyhole) in the abdomen, usually in the umbilicus (belly button).

Menopause

Menopause is often referred to as the ‘change of life’ because it marks the end of a woman’s reproductive life. Menopause literally means that a woman has had her last (or final) menstrual period.

Miscarriage

An early pregnancy loss or miscarriage happens when a pregnancy ends before the 20th week of pregnancy.

Endometriosis

The symptoms associated with endometriosis vary. Some people might experience very little or no pain, while others have significant pain that substantially affects their quality of life.

Hysterectomy

A hysterectomy is an operation to remove the uterus (womb). If you have not yet been through menopause, it will mean you will no longer have menstrual periods and can no longer become pregnant.

Ectopic Pregnancy

An ectopic pregnancy happens when an egg is fertilised (known as an embryo) and instead of travelling along the uterine (fallopian) tube for implantation in the uterus to begin growing into a pregnancy, the embryo implants somewhere outside the uterus (womb).

Post-Operative Care

Post-Operative Care instructions for patients to assist them in the best possible recovery from their surgery.

Low-dose vaginal estrogen therapy

Vaginal estrogen delivers a low dose of hormone to the local vaginal tissue with minimal systemic absorption.

Post- operative care following endometriosis surgery

This information is for you if you are about to have, or are recovering from, laparoscopic excision of endometriosis. You might also find it useful to share this information with your family and friends.

Post- operative care following total laparoscopic Hysterectomy

A total laparoscopic hysterectomy (TLH) is an operation to remove the uterus with the aid of an operating telescope called a laparoscope.
